The Madison City Comptroller supervises the receiving, collection and disbursement of all City revenue by recording and keeping accounts of all City transactions. Scott Oney, the Madison City Comptroller, oversees the accounting, accounts payable, and payroll of the Department, as well as fixed assets, government tax returns, and employee pension and benefits. The City Comptroller oversees that all City expenditures are accurately appropriated into the budget and prepares all financial reports for the Mayor and City Council.
